Rare & unique original heavy cardboard poster for "Varsity Show" starring Dick Powell & Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians. This poster specially produced for a showing at Schines Andrews Theater Salamanca NY. Great Art Deco graphics and typography. Couldn't find another example, this could be the only surviving copy.
The Andrews Theater was opened January 22, 1912 and was destroyed by a fire in July 1923. It was rebuilt to the plans of architect Victor A. Rigaumont in 1930. It reopened as a Schine theater in December 1932. Measures 28" by 22".
