This Lovely Vintage Bakelite Brooch was carved from a gorgeous shade of clear orange colored Bakelite.
This orange "prystal" brooch has a long contoured shape that
measures 4 3/4" x 5/8" at its widest point. The brooch is 1/4" thick and weighs 14 grams.
The brooch has been carved with an abstract flower design that has beautiful leaf inspired carvings that trail the flower design. The abstract designs are amazingly detailed and beautifully carved! Note the detailed serrated edges to the edges of the brooch. This is a really fabulous brooch, both in color and carving!!
The brooch has its original roll over "C" clasp that is in perfect working order and stays closed when worn.
The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were seen.
